Asset Management

The Asset Management Maze

“Asset management is not just about engineering, or finding the right technical solution at the best price. It’s about ensuring the asset provides the service the public wants from it. Good asset management starts with knowing what assets you have, what condition they are in and what you want to use them for.”

Our Asset Management Seminar will provide an insight into the requirements of Asset Management and consider ways in which you can use data that you already hold or collect to support and develop Asset Management.

We will take a more detailed look behind the raft of acronyms and abbreviations to help you through The Asset Management Maze.

The Asset Management Maze will consider:
• The timetable for adoption of Whole of Government Accounts
• What you need to prepare Gross Replacement Cost
• Developing Depreciated Replacement Costs
• Using and developing the CIPFA/HAMFIG returns
• Using UKPMS data to support and develop Asset Management

The course will also look at some of the wider aspects of Asset Management, including;
• What asset data do you need?
• What asset data do you already hold?
• How will you identify and bridge the gaps?
• What are the consequences of collecting/not collecting data for different asset groups?
• How should your HAMP drive the implementation of Asset Management?

This seminar will be of interest to:
• Technical and financial staff who want to gain an understanding of Asset Management
• Engineers who want to develop wider uses of existing data to support Asset Management
• Managers responsible for the implementation of Asset Management

Training can be held at our offices in Leamington Spa or at a venue that is convenient for you.
